A quiz ranks participants based on their performance. Points and ranking can be customized using various settings. Here is an explanation of how it works.
You find most options in the Settings menu in the Builder.
Seconds to Answer
Set a maximum time for participants to answer each question. You must activate this to use the Speed Bonus feature below. The default time to answer is set to 20 seconds.
You can also set the timer to apply to the total quiz. This is typically used when activating the passing grade feature and you want to create a test after a training session.

Participants earn bonus points based on how quickly they answer correctly.
The faster the response, the more bonus points are awarded.
The bonus points are added to the potential regular points.
How does the Speed Bonus work?
The Speed Bonus gives you extra points for answering quickly, but getting the answer right is always the most important. Here’s a simple breakdown:
Starting bonus: When you start a question, you get a bonus that can boost your score by 25%.
Bonus reduces over time: The faster you answer, the bigger your bonus. But as time ticks down, the bonus gets smaller.
Example:
You answered in 5 seconds and got 40 points.
Your speed bonus gives you an extra 20% (1.2x multiplier).
Your final score is 40 points x 1.2 = 48 points.
This way, Diggle rewards you for being fast and accurate, but accuracy is always crucial.
Set the maximum points a participant can earn for each question.
This value is used to calculate both regular and Speed bonus points.
Must not miss any
This option is useful when a question has multiple correct answers.
Participants must select all correct answers to earn points. They get zero points for the entire question if they miss even one correct answer or choose an incorrect one.
Example If a question asks about all the capitals of Scandinavian countries, the participant must select “Stockholm,” “Oslo,” and “Copenhagen” to earn points.
Points are given for each correct answer, but selecting any incorrect option results in zero points for the entire question.
Example If a question lists five animals and asks which ones are mammals, selecting “Dog,” “Cat,” and “Elephant” earns points.
However, if the participant also selects “Shark,” they receive zero points for that question. This feature helps reduce the risk of people gaining points by simply guessing the answers.
Please note that when you select “The more the better,” you need to specify which answers are correct by adjusting the Reply settings, which automatically open when you choose this option.
