Label on Image

Question types
Table of Contents

The Label on Image question type allows participants to place text labels on different parts of an image.

You can start by selecting a predefined canvas, such as a SWOT analysis, Iceberg, or Business Model Canvas, or you can upload a custom image.

The different canvases

The label on the Image has three predefined canvases.

In addition, you can upload your own image as a Custom Canvas and define sectors for people to label.

Iceberg

The Iceberg canvas allows the participants to place their labels above or below the water line. This canvas is often used when working on visible and hidden behaviors in an organizational culture.

SWOT

The SWOT Canvas can be used as a strategic planning tool in meetings and workshops.

It helps identify areas for growth and improvement while anticipating challenges in the business environment.

Business Model Canvas

The Business Model Canvas is a strategic management tool that outlines and visualizes the nine critical components of a business model to help organizations systematically understand, design, and innovate their business strategies.

Participants can add their input to all nine areas.

Custom Canvas

To upload your own image as a canvas, use Custom Canvas.

Next, define sectors on the image where participants can add their labels.

These sectors can be customized to fit your needs, such as splitting the image into left/right, top/bottom, or a 2×2 grid.

The Blank Sector is an open sector in which all text input on your image will be treated as one. You can use this when the visual aspect of the labels on the image is more important than the sectors.
