In the Matching question type, participants must correctly pair items from two lists, which can be composed of text or images.

To set it up, enter your matching pairs into the “Option” and “Match” fields.

If you want to include images, click the image icon next to the text field to upload them

Match many

The Match Many feature allows people to match a single option with multiple correct matches.

This is particularly useful when one item can logically connect to several others.

For example, in a language learning session, a word might be matched with multiple synonyms, or in a business context, a key competency could be linked to several relevant job roles.

Used in quiz

The Match question type is quiz-compatible. Here are two simple examples of use.

 

Regular match example

Question: Match the following countries with their capitals.

Option: France → Match: Paris

Option: Japan → Match: Tokyo

Option: Canada → Match: Ottawa

Option: Norway  Match: Oslo

Match many example:

Question: Match the following sports with their associated equipment.

Option: Tennis → Match: Racket, Ball

Option: Football → Match: Ball, Goalpost

Option: Basketball → Match: Ball, Hoop
