Open Text

The Open Text question type allows participants to freely express their thoughts or answers in their own words.

It’s ideal for gathering detailed feedback, ideas, or insights that go beyond multiple-choice options. This type encourages deeper engagement and provides valuable qualitative data.

Adding text and options

Enter your question in the question field. 

Select Add longer description to add a longer text if needed. 

Reply settings

You can set the number of replies in the dropdown menu, giving the participants a set number of replies they must write, a range of replies, or an unlimited amount. 

You can also adjust the character limit on the replies and insert your placeholder text that will appear in the textbox for the participants.

Result layout

The Open Text question type has one Result layout: The Wall of Text. 

The Wall of Text will show all the text replies on the presenter screen. 

You can highlight any reply by a simple click on the result layout during presentations.
